This episode has to be one of the most gruesome.

I only watch The Walking Dead occasionally, but a couple weeks ago my mom was telling me about the season premiere and how bloody it was. At first, I was kind of nonchalant about it and then she was telling about how much I had to see this episode. So I was expecting the usual zombie-killing violence, but to my surprise there was none. Instead there is a character by the name of Negan and he is terrorizing Rick and the crew.

In the episode Negan and his people has them in a semi-circle and he says that he is going to kill one of them. So most of the time is spent messing with their heads and torturing them emotionally. Negan has this baseball bat with barbed wire around it and it seems to me that this is his weapon of choice. So he’s walking around trying to choose which person he is going to kill and then he lands on Abraham. The brutality in this scene is horrific and I can tolerate a lot. Everyone is crying and Negan is just laughing. Out of anger Daryl tries to jump up and attack Negan but fails. So as a result Negan gets mad and wants to kill someone else. I’m thinking that he is about to go through the slow process of choosing a second person when out of nowhere he hits Glenn. Now Glenn has been there since the beginning and for many of the non-comic book readers, this was a shock. What made it worse was that he made Glenn suffer in the process.

By this point I was kind of ticked off that my mom had me watch this episode. When it comes to killing zombies, that doesn’t bother me. I even enjoy watching horror movies. Something about watching this episode really bothered me. I guess because they’re in a situation in which no humans should be worried about killing other humans. But, even if someone is in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, if they are evil and want to cause others pain, they will still do it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
