Although all of us expects to experience hardship at some point in our lives, having that knowledge does not seem to make it any easier when those trials actually come. Whether one is going through difficulties in their schooling, marriage, work, or health, God wants all of us to dig deep into His word. However, this can be hard to achieve in the midst of what seems to be a pit of despair. So whether you have one hour or ten minutes, grab onto one or two of these verses and let your heart anchor in Him through whatever trials you are facing.
1. Isaiah 43:2
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
2. Psalms 34:17-18
“The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
3. Philippians 4:12-13
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength."
3. Deuteronomy 31:8
“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
4. Psalms 55:22
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
5. Luke 12:22-26
“Then Jesus said to His disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.”
7. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
