1. Romans 3:23-24

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," I know that there is nothing I can do to earn this life, but I rest in His free gift knowing that He sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to die for me.

2. Romans 12:2

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." It's so hard, especially in college, to not get caught up in "the college life" and this scripture just reminds me to stay true to the life God has called me to live.

3. John 8:12

"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” As a Christian, I know there is no greater feeling than following Jesus. He gives me endless joy and this verse is a reminder of how I must run this race of life with Him to cross the finish line into Heaven.

4. Philippians 4:6-7

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." In college, it is so easy to get caught up in class, your job, your organizations, etc. It can all pile up and freak us out, but just reminding myself to not worry and just go to God for everything is so refreshing.

5. Matthew 5:14-16

" You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." God calls us to be the light of the world and to shine bright. We have to stand out in front of others and show them the reasons we care ourselves the way we do.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
