As a lifelong fan of the Incredible Hulk I could probably safely assume that he is definitely everybody’s least favorite Avenger. I don’t say that based off statistics, I say that as being the only Incredible Hulk fan that I personally know.

Let’s Get Down to Business. I have been a fan of the Hulk since I was about six to eight years old so I can say I know a thing or two about him and what I know is that he is the most powerful being the Avengers have yet the screen writers do not depict him like the comics do.

Shall I take you on a journey? Oh, I shall. You might wanna get some cleaning supplies because your mind is about to be blown.

1. He literally has unlimited strength and durability

The longer he fights and the madder he gets the stronger and more durable he gets. That means if he fought an enemy for a full day and got madder as the fight progressed he could literally come out of the fight with double the amount of strength and durability he had going into it depending on how mad he is. Just look at “World War Hulk” for an example of how powerful he is when he has the anger of losing the entire planet in which he was ruler of.

He enslaved all of the Avengers and during the secret wars he is seen holding up a 150 billion ton mountain. There are more examples though, like him throwing planets into other planets or getting so angry he breaks the time barrier but we can discuss that later.

2. He has more abilities than just strength you know...

Okay so we know the Hulk his strong. According to Incredible Hulk Online (Yes I am a nerd...I know) all incarnations of the Hulk can lift well over 100 tons when at a calm state except for the gray Hulk which was the first Hulk who was somewhere around 75 tons when calm. What else can he do? Check it out:

1. His average casual leap is about 3 miles. However, in The incredible Hulk #254 he has escaped the Earth’s atmosphere.

2. He has a wicked thunderclap. In the Edward Norton Hulk movie (2008) the Hulk busted this move out once and you kinda get a sense that it’s pretty cool because it puts out a fire to save General Ross and his daughter but just how powerful it is? According to Incredible Hulk Online it can be compared to a sonic boom or a hurricane. It put out the Human torch's flame and damn near killed the wolverine.

3. His healing abilities may be faster than anyone else's in the Marvel universe. Bullets cannot even break through the Hulk’s skin, he is impervious to all known human diseases including cancer, and his body is pretty much impervious to fatigue as well but sometimes he gets hurt and needs to heal. If you catch him before a rampage you just might be able to get a glimpse of this feat.

4. He can breathe underwater. The Hulk has seen more than one battle on the ocean floor. In the Incredible Hulk #77 (2005) we see him battling a baby-Kraken-sized giant squid. When he surfaces we see Banner talking to himself about how he was able to breath underwater which goes something like his body developing a gland that creates an oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion which fills his lungs and equalizes the pressure which means he can breathe fluid and avoid decompression and nitrogen narcosis. You know….basic underwater breathing techniques.

5. Multiple weird mental abilities. Some of these really are very strange but really useful that only add to his awesomeness! I’ll just list them off. 1) He can see ghosts. 2) Has resistance to mind control. 3) No matter where he is in the world he can instinctively find his way back to the sight of the gamma bomb explosion that gave him his abilities. 4) He can see Dr. Strange in his astral form while others cannot.

I dare you to say that you aren’t impressed by all these abilities that you had no idea the Hulk possessed. With all of these abilities that the Hulk possesses it only adds to my point of why he is the most powerful Avenger and I really wish the movies would portray it.

3. His resistance/Durability are enough to take on any army of any size

According to incrediblehulkonline.com The Hulk has skin that can withstand bullets, shrapnel, shells, concussive blasts, etc. He also has resistance to many extreme forces like the ability to walk on the ocean floor and not be overcome with over 5,500 pounds of pressure (which assumes the average depth of the ocean is 12,566 feet deep).

He has been deep frozen by Ice Man for long periods of time and brushed it off like it was nothing and has withstood the vacuum of space many times. This resistance and durability gives him an edge to take on an army and win and he already has done so with the United States Army, an army of Psyklop in The Incredible Hulk #203, and many others.

4. If he has conquered two worlds already why even fight him?

On Earth he is the “Incredible Hulk.” On planet Sakaar he is know as “Sakaarson” or “Worldbreaker.” Face it people, if he can be sent to the planet Sakaar, defeat the Red King and his army, become the new king, survive a meta-nuclear explosion that crushes an entire planet, travel back to our solar system, survive Black Bolt’s scream on the moon, travel back to Earth on top of his ship (not in it, on it), proceed to enslave the avengers which means onslaughts of artillery from the United States Army, Hulkbusters, and the rest of the Avengers and survive...you might him to be on your side.

5. Bruce Banner is one of the smartest people on the planet

One of the smartest. Number one belongs to Mr. Fantastic, no competition. In a list of the eight smartest people in the Marvel universe compiled by Comic Vine, he is the third smartest peson on earth. You see ,Bruce Banner is so smart that the average human intelligence test cannot measure his intelligence.

To quote Listal.com, Bruce Banner attended such pretigious universities as the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Navapo, Harvard, and Penneslyvania State. He also frequently attended lectures/conferences at Oxford just for fun, acquired a Doctorate in the fields of nuclear physics, engineering and biology. Banner is regarded by Tony Stark as the greatest Nuclear Scientist on Earth.

I definitely love hearing what other people have to say about the Hulk even if it is against him and I am always up for debate over who the most powerful Avenger is.

But if you say Captain America I will block you on all forms of social media and never take you seriously on any subject matter again.
