Friends are the family that you get to choose. No matter how long you've known them, where you met them or where they are now, your friends are a part of who you are. Imagine where or who you would be without them. As you grow older and start your college years, you begin to notice that you have many different types of friends, from those at home to the ones you've met in school.

1. Hometown friends

Nobody (and I mean nobody) can replace your high school BFFs. These are the friends that you've known since pre-k and beyond. They're your neighbors and your high school clique. You battled years of boys, puberty and high school together, and nobody will know you better than they do. You'll never get bored of them because at this point, you've known most of them pretty much your entire life. They're your go-to for pretty much anything.

2. Long distance friends

Some of the best people you know are your long distance friends. These are the friends that you don't see everyday. It doesn't necessarily mean that they live far away, but you just might not get the chance to see them that often, such as the people from high school you lost touch with. You'll get a chance to see them once in a while, and you'll wonder why you don't get together more often. But you know you'll always be there for each other no matter how long it's been.

3. College Friends

Your college friends are the girls that you met in your first year that you couldn't imagine being without. They are the people that you called your best friends within a few days. Most likely, these girls are your roomies and you pretty much do everything together. From Starbucks runs to late night study sessions to going out on the weekends, you're always together and making the most of your college experience.

4. Your pre-game friends

In college, these are the people you know you're going to have a good time with. They are the people that you try to stick with throughout the night because you know you'll always have a blast.

5.Your school friends

These are the friends that you don't really hang out with outside of class all too much, but they're the people you sit with in every class. They're most likely the same major as you, and they get all the struggles you're going through. From business majors taking accounting to physical therapy majors taking anatomy, you get through it together. Without these friends, you don't think you would have been able to pass any of your classes or even stay awake.

6. Family friends

This might be one of the most important friend groups that emerges when you're off to college. When you don't get to see your family everyday, you actually grow closer to them. Yes, your parents actually become your friends. They don't have much control over you while you're away at school, so they become a lot more like your friends than your parents (until you come home from break).

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
