Scientific Accuracies Found Within The Bible

In this modern day most people will admit to not reading the bible as much as they should. I can't judge because I am right along side of them. However I do enjoy reading the inspirational words of my father. That being said, I love science as well. When hearing the words bible and science together most people think they are opposites. Either you are a person of faith or science. Well I am a person of both. I believe science and the bible go hand and hand. I believe more discoveries would be made if we seek the information in a bible as we do in a textbook. They are both written by humans so why is one “foolish” to use over the other? Below I have composed just a small list of science proven facts that were found in the bible way before science ever figured it out…

The Earth Free Floats In Space.

This can be found in Job 26:7, at this time many believed the Earth sat on the back of an elephant or turtle. Yet here it is.

The Earth is made of atoms.

In the 19th century science discovered that everything we see is composed of invisible atoms. Here, Scripture tells us that the "things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

light has no shadow.

In 1 John 1:5 It is stated that light has no shadow. Ever held a match up against a wall? Theres no shadow… Try it.

We are made from dust on the ground.

Scientists have discovered that the human body is comprised of some 28 base and trace elements – all of which are found in the earth. This can be found in Genesis 2:7, 3:19. Also in Genesis 2:7 it goes on and says “then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, which sounds like what we do in CPR to me.

Pangea is mentioned in the bible.

Pangea is the idea that all of the continents were once all connected at one point in time and the oceans were all connected surrounding it. Look at a world map the continents looks like puzzle pieces. Well in Genesis 1:9-10, the bible clearly states that was the case.

God then went on to talk about continental drift.

This can be found in Genesis 7:11.Today the study of the ocean floor indicates that the landmasses have been ripped apart. Scripture states that during the global Flood the “fountains of the great deep were broken up.” This cataclysmic event apparently resulted in the continental plates breaking and shifting. Like Scientists have strong evidence for.

So there is a small list of scientific accuracies in the bible. There are many more that can be listed, if you know one comment below. Sometimes the answers are right in front of us, we just have to know where were looking.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
