Throughout many colleges and universities around the nation there are writers that are dying to have their ideas and content heard.

My name is Andrew and I am actively putting together a team of dedicated writers for Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI.

We as young people want our voices heard. Sometimes it gets difficult to make that happen. Maybe you're someone who wants to finally be able to voice your opinion on the current presidential nominees and haven't had a chance to do so yet. Maybe you're someone who loves writing poetry and wants to share it and have a chance of getting your name out in the general public. Whether you want to share your story or just want to write, joining Odyssey will be one of the best extracurricular decisions you will make in your college career.

So, why join? What's in it for you? Odyssey Online is a safe place to express yourself openly through writing. What you write, you own.

You will not only gain experience using Content Management Systems, but you will also be able to say that you write for a big time company. Perhaps one of the most popular reasons you should join is the incentives. Each time your piece goes live on a social media platform, CMS (Content Management System) tracks how much traffic your post is getting. If you have the most traffic on your post for that week in your college, you win the incentive of a twenty dollar pay pal cash deposit. Now the reason I joined before I knew about any of the details was because I really wanted a chance to have my voice be heard and possibly go viral. As content creators, we get email updates from our Managing Editors every week on tips to help our pieces go viral. This is super fun!

Next here are some frequently asked questions and a few answers for those of you that are interested:

"How many pieces of writing can I submit a week?"

So, there isn't a limit on this but you might want to consider that whatever you write does go through an editing process.

"What happens when my writing goes through the editing process?"

The Editor In Chief will edit your writing for primarily style and syntax.

"When do I get my twenty dollar incentive if I win?"

As long as we have 12 or more writers, the winning writer usually receives his or her incentive within two weeks via Paypal.

"What kinds of things can I write about?"

Absolutely anything. You choose what to write about and it goes live on social media.

After reading this I hope you are inclined to join Schoolcraft Colleges Odyssey Online. I want to thank you for taking the time for reading this and please pass this message along. Happy writing!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
