Do you like music? If you answered no to that question then just stop reading this article now. But hopefully, you answered yes (I'm guessing 95% of you mentally answered "yes"). Every song, no matter what people say, has a memory attached to it. A good memory, a bad memory or sometimes a memory so funny that it actually makes you smirk to yourself as you listen to it. (And yes, I've written about this many times before, but I can't stress it enough!) So I thought that I would do you guys all a little favor and create an end of the school year playlist for you! These are the songs, that collectively make a great playlist, whether your studying, dartying, or even just chilling. So with out further ado, here is the lineup:

1. "The One" by The Chainsmokers

If you haven't heard this song, you most likely haven't had access to social media, the radio, or ears. This song is a slower song, something a little different than we're used to by The Chainsmokers. That's why its perfect for studying and hanging out.

2. "Sign Of The Times" by Harry Styles

This song recently just came out, so I don't blame you if you haven't heard it yet. This song automatically puts you straight in your feels, so needless to say, it's perfect for studying when you staring out library window pretending your in a music video.

3. "Slide" by The Goo Goo Dolls

If you go to a big universtiy, like MSU, you know that the songs you listen to while your walking to class make or break your class. That's why it's crucial that you listen to some jams. On those days where the sun is just shining so brightly, and the birds that you never see seem to be chirping, throw on "Slide" by The Goo Goo Dolls. I promise you, you won't regret it.

4. "Some Nights" by Fun

This song personally brings back a lot of memories, so whenever I hear it, I automatically remember that there's way more to life than just school. So this is a great song to listen to when you've studied your brains out and are in that "post lib" mood.

5. "Work This Body" by Walk The Moon

It's impossible to not have a smile on you face when you hear this song. It's a great song to listen to when you get out of class on Friday afternoon and you're finally free for the weekend.

6. "What I Got" by Sublime

One of my favorite things to do in the morning is put on some music right away to wake me up. I've heard this song multiple times first thing in the morning and it's a great song to start your morning. Not to hype, but not to slow and depressing.

7. "<3(Heart)" by Cherub

Did you lose your significant other because cuffing season is now over. Give this song a listen and I promise you, you will relate.

8. "Dreams" by The Cranberries

This song is purely a song to just chill out too. Or if you need good background music. You can never go wrong with good background music! (Heads up, the lead singer of The Cranberries voice is very high, I was low key very startled by it the first time I heard it).

9. "Rich Boy " by Galantis

Listen to this song the after your last final. And I promise you, you'll be rockin and ready to go out and have some well deserved fun after all that work!

There you have it! Here are 8 songs to add to the end of your school year playlist.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
