School Is Almost Here

School is starting, and these things are coming.

School Is Almost Here
Today

It is August, and every kid knows what that means. School is starting. School starting means many different things are about to happen to students.

1. Procrastination

Procrastination is one of my many problems when it comes to school. Typically what I do is I'll look at my homework that is due the next day, and I think I'll do it tonight — then I forget about it! So hopefully I can fix that problem and get stuff done ahead of time!

2. Studying

Obviously with school starting, that means plenty of studying is coming. I absolutely hate studying, but it is something you have to do. Late-night study sessions are the absolute worst.

3. Late nights, early mornings

What I mean by this is basically every college kid stays up super late then has to wake up for their 8 a.m. class that they are dreading to go to.

4. Stress

Every college student has had to deal with stress at some point in their educational career. Whether it has been over homework, tests, papers or finals, stress will make you go crazy!

5. College football

College football is by far the best thing about school starting. Every Saturday there is college football on from when you wake up 'til when you go to bed. This may lead to me procrastinating.

6. Being broke

Almost all college students are broke. It is hard to go to school and work, so most kids don't get jobs. Therefore, they are almost always broke.

7. Long days filled with Netflix

The football team is on the road, your roommate went home and you have no homework. That equals hours upon hours of Netflix!

8. Naps

In college, kids will fall asleep whenever and wherever they can to help deal with the stress of school work.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

11 Things We Learned From Brooke Davis

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:

We all have a person, and when that person makes some new friends, we tend to forget all the great things that can come out of it. Never forget how special they are to you and why you are best friends.
