Scales on a Scale: Can The Libra-Libra Relationship Work?

Scales on a Scale

Whoever said that opposites attract, were talking about Libra-Libra relationships. Hell, they might have even been in one. In the world of astrology, Libras are considered to be most compatible with Aquarius, Scorpio, Aries and Taurus (for some odd reason) and of course, the one and only, Geminis, while on the other hand being least compatible with Cancers, Capricorns and Pisces. Well, outside of those odds, every once in a while, they find each other.

The Lucky Libra is known for being fans of beauty, ruled by the Goddess of Love, Venus, and being Masters of Balance. In the personality aspect of Libras, what sets them apart from all other signs is that their pros and cons directly align. Oddly enough, the Libra has a weird way of being adventurous yet chilled, organized yet chaotic, talkative yet quiet, patient yet unwilling, rebels yet gentle, giving yet withholding and the list goes on. Libras bring this same pro-con combination of ways into their relationships. Due to their need for balance and harmony they give their partner just enough by being caring yet nonchalant, passionate yet unemotional, expressive yet reserved, thoughtful yet aloof and of course hot yet cold. Some call it indecisiveness or bipolar, while the Libra would probably say it’s the perfect way to be.

Now although most astrologists would only give Libras a 50/50 chance of being together, as a Libra with a Libra I would like to add a different perspective. In relationships with other zodiac signs, where the Libra has to explain their quirky ways, Libra-Libra partners easily balance each other out and naturally complement each other. Mentally in the relationship, they will either be 100% on the same page, on complete opposite ends of the spectrum or meet right in the middle. With that being said, the 50 shades of grey only apply to them physically. At the end of the day, being ruled by Venus, they are automatically grounded back to their foundation of each other’s astronomical understanding of their partner’s emotional wants and needs. The good will ultimately outweigh the bad. After all, doesn’t love conquer all?

So to all the astrologists and their studies, I say that strong personalities like Aquarius, Gemini, Scorpio, Aries and Taurus can too much, at times. Unusual personalities like Cancer, Capricorn and Pisces just may not be enough. But just like Goldilocks, Libra for a Libra has a 50/50 chance of being just right.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
