As We Say, 'See You Later To Summer'

Remember all of the memories that you made this summer.

As summer comes to an end we must remember the good memories that we made and hope that they are enough to carry us through the hard and gloomy days sitting in the library writing papers and studying for exams.

So here is what I have to say as we head out of summer and into the school year again. If you took pictures with your friends on a trip you took this summer get them printed and tape them on your wall of your dorm room or your apartment. They will remind you of the fun you had in the sun this summer. Or of that time you danced in the rain with your best friend when you probably should have been inside hiding out from that awful thunderstorm.

As we prepare to go back to school think of a way that will be easy to remind you of the trips you took and the memories that you made with your friends or coworkers this summer. Maybe make a collage of the pictures that you took this summer and make the collage the background on your phone.

The memories that we made through the summer are going to be what gets us through the hardest days of the school year. Maybe you could take a few of those printed pictures and put them on your binders behind the clear plastic pocket so that every time you pull out the binder to study you can remember all of the fun times and remember that come May you can start making more memories in the sun again or more memories while dancing in the rain again.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures of your fur friends too because they always play a big part of who you are as a person and some of us don't want to go on vacation without them if we don't have to.

Just because summer is ending doesn't mean that you have to forget about all the fun things that you did over the summer like that camp fire you had in the middle of the woods the week of the 4th of July. In fact, now that we are going back to school is the time to really start remembering the things that you have done.

So go ahead don't say goodbye to summer say see you later to summer and then say hello again school my old friend and continue to make some more memories during the school year that may make you remember the summer memories.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
