Springtime on college campuses is always busy. From projects to club meetings, students are constantly running from building to building working to get to the end of the semester.
For seniors, that end of the semester stress is multiplied by 1,000. They're done in a couple of months. Not done until August, but fully complete with their degrees.
I'm not ready for my senior friends to graduate. It is completely different than when your senior friends graduated high school.
When your senior friends graduated high school, it was sad. You wouldn't be seeing some of your best friends on a daily basis, but there was always coming home for breaks from college. Most of your graduating class (or their parents) still live in your hometown. There's always a chance that you will see an old friend at your local grocery store.
But when your senior college friends graduate, it's a whole new, big world.
Your friends that you met at college came from all over the place. Your college is your shared commonplace. Without it, what is the likelihood that you would have met?
True friends will stay in contact even if they're halfway across the country working while you are still stuck on campus waiting for graduation.
Hopefully, for you and your friends, graduation doesn't mean "Goodbye" but instead "See you later."
