Every year in July, thousands of fans gather in San Diego to cosplay, hear the latest news about their newest and oldest obsessions, and meet the many stars that also attend the event. The event hosts fans of comic books, television series, podcasts, books, movies in and out of franchises, etc. over the course of 4 days.

At this year's Comic Con, trailers for upcoming movies this summer and 2017 were shown. Among those movie trailers were second trailers for Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and a new Suicide Squad trailer. Of the movie trailers showed for the first time at Comic Con, the trailers for Wonder Woman and Justice League received the biggest reaction. Both trailers were quickly trending worldwide after premiering at the Con.

Trailers weren't the only news released about new movies and television series. Casts of upcoming Marvel movies were revealed and additions to casts of popular television shows were announced.

Along with movies, Comic Con is filled with panels and interviews with the stars of the many fandoms. These panels are where fans can ask the actors, writers, and producers any questions they want and they usually result in some pretty funny moments. Some shows announced their final seasons while others released trailers for the upcoming year.

Attendees often dress up, also known as cosplay, for the event, and the stars are also included. There are always a hand full of celebrities that will walk the floors of the convention completely in disguise.

The San Diego Comic Con is the largest convention of it's kind in the world according to Forbes. It is additionally the largest convention that takes place in San Diego. With 167,000 people in attendance last year, the con continues to grow in popularity. And with this weekend, another San Diego Comic Con has come and gone.
