At Samford, Step Sing season has just begun. After 6 p.m., you won't find anyone in their dorm or at the "caf," because almost everyone is at practice. Step Sing is a Samford-wide tradition that dates back to 1951 when Samford was called Howard College. For those who haven't heard of Step Sing, it's a show that, you guessed it, consists of dancing and singing.
Different organizations and groups have their own show (like sororities, fraternities, the school of the arts, independents, etc.). They only have two and a half weeks to learn all songs and dances, which makes it even more exciting. As a freshman, it is pretty overwhelming at first, but it's also so much fun meeting and getting to know more people.
