When the election was over and the president was chosen, I was so happy because we finally has a decision and this election is over. I thought the arguing and the bickering were finally going to be over. I thought when we finally had a decided president people would just accepted it.
I was sadly mistaken.
Instead of being together and happy to finally have a decided answer, people are divided and against each other. Honestly, it's stupid to me. We've been through much worst stuff than this election, but this is what tears people apart. Honestly, both candidates had their flaws. We would be in the same place with both, so arguing and pointing the finger isn't going to do much to change that. It's just going to cause more chaos. America has a lot of problems and it's going to take a lot of time and work to fix them. We should be focusing on that instead of fighting with each other about something that is done and over with.
Hurting and tearing people down because of who they voted for is disgusting. What good will that do, really? Why are we judging people for who they vote for? Isn't this the land of the free and freedom of speech? Everyone has a right to their own opinion and what they feel is right.
Do I like trump? No I don't, mainly because some of the things he is planning to do is going to effect some parts of my life personally. But am I going to bad mouth someone because they like him or voted for him? No. Am I going to stop being friends with or judge someone because of their vote? No, I'm not!
That's your right as an American to vote as you see fit. People say they are disappointed with America's choice and that it's the end of America. That's really negative. I mean, come on. Sure it looks dark now, but why should we throw in the towel? We all seem like we are giving up a bit too fast. I am not taking away people's feelings or emotions towards this, but I am just sad that people are saying it's the end of America.
What about hope, love and god? That's all still here. Again, I can see both ways how people are feeling . But no matter the choice, we should still remember we have those things. We have each other. It may feel like we are divided, but we really aren't. We all want the same thing right now—to live in a happy world. We all sometimes forget we are ALL humans and ALL OF US live in the same world. When times look bleak, we need to remember to be together, not apart. Love, hope, strength, god and light are powerful things against hate and darkness.
Please remember Trump is just one man. If you really want change, we need a lot more people to do it, not just one. It doesn't happen over night. I am a proud American, it's the only home I know. And no matter what I stand up with my country. I will takes this dark cloud and make it a positive one.
Stand together as one. Forget what political party, race, gender or religion you are.
Let's all just be #TeamHumans because that's what we are and that's what should matter. So let's stand hand in hand and face the new world together. Being upset about who won isn't going to do anything.
Ok, Trump won. So now let's focus on what's next. Let's look toward the future, not the past! I respect everyone's belief, opinions, feelings and emotions, but I just don't want everyone turning on each other. Remember #teamhumans. We got to stick together if we want change.
I'm an optimist. I don't believe in being negative. Sorry, this isn't going to kill my positive light. I going to work for change and hope others will follow suit.
