Thank you for embracing the cold openly so my feet don’t have to.
I do not like the cold. My feet do not like the cold. You may also not like the cold, but I’m so grateful that you’re willing to take the fall for the both of us.
Thank you for fitting in every shoe that I own, with or without the struggle to squeeze you in.
You have suffered my yanking, tugging, and stretching as I have forced into every pair of boot(ie)s and tennis shoes that I own. You are so capable, and so strong. If you can squeeze into my slim-fit Converse, you can do anything.
Thank you for coming in all sorts of fun colors to match my moods.
Every day you allow me to show off my fun-loving personality with the fun in your designs. Whether I’m feeling polka-dotty, stripy, or holiday-festive, you’re always supporting my choices.
Thank you for being there for me as I skate through the hallways, across the kitchen floor, and down the dorm steps.
You may have caused me a lot of slipping and sliding that eventually has led to me landing flat on my face, but in the end, I will always forgive you. You provide me with a lot of laughs and a lot of new dance moves that wouldn’t be possible without your help. I would be nowhere in my rendition of “We’re All in This Together” without you.
Thank you for accepting the holes and the stains that I have accidentally placed upon you.
Through painting, baking, and trips to get the mail in the pouring rain, we’ve done it all. We’ve made a lot of memories together that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
Thank you, almighty Sock God, for gracing this world with glorious fuzz for our feet. Thank you for making not only my feet, but thousands of other girls’ feet, a lot warmer and definitely a lot happier.
