Girls are great and all, but sometimes we all want to escape from the drama. I can't tell you how my best friend and I act because you would probably run away. He's funny, weird, and we get along perfectly. But that's just the thing, sometimes escape from the girl world is hanging out with a guy or two. Let me tell you why...
1. Casual nights consist of movies and beer in sweats.
2. You can actually eat without being judged. I repeat... YOU CAN EAT FOOD. He will probably stare at you for a second, but after the first time he probably could care less.
3. You can be weird and he will totally go along with it. Or he will out weird you.
4. Hugs from guys are great as it is, but imagine the hug from your guy best friend. It'll make you feel better instantly.
5. He will do anything to make you smile.
6. You can cry in front of him.
7. You feel 100% okay with doing stupid, silly stuff to him because you know he would do the same to you AND that he won't walk away.
8. He listens. He may not always understand and he might not give advice, but he cares enough about you to listen to you and he tries to understand.
9. You can tag team someone. With girls it's almost too vicious, but with a guy it's funny.
10. Your inner nerd comes out and it can feisty.
11. He will push you to your strengths and when you finally accomplish them he supports you fully.
12. He brings you out of your shell and then you end up being the one to cheer him up.
13. He says cute things that he's actually not afraid to tell you.
14. If you're lucky enough to have gone through this last and thought of your boyfriend... you're best friends. Having your boyfriend be both a boyfriend and a best friend is one of the most magical, amazing things in the world.
Whatever the case is, there is something so special and unique about a girl and guy friendship. Some say that they cannot be friends without having sex, and this is just not true. Whether it's a friendship that stays a friendship forever, or a friendship that blossoms into a relationship, you end up cherishing this.
