Convincing someone to take me Black Friday shopping every year was quite the feat. I went at it from every possible angle and failed roughly 50% of the time. This year, I'm old, I can drive, and I have money (sort of), so I don't need to devise a plan of action to get me to the stores. No, this year...I'm here to help you generate a plan of attack by providing the Ultimate Guide to Black Friday Deals of 2016.
Target
I'm not joking, this week I went to Target two days in a row and I was still discovering new things the second time around. You can never go wrong here, and this year that have some pretty sweet deals.
For $285, you can *basically* hover. That's $115 less than normal, and if you're a technology junky, it just might be worth it. Bonus: it has built in Bluetooth speakers so you'll be the coolest kid/kid-at-heart rolling through the town.
Speaking of technology, you can save $180 on Beats by Dr. Dre Solo 2 wireless headphones. These things are pretty neat and could probably double as ear warmers for the winter. That would probably come in handy on campus, and although they're still $120, the quality speaks for itself.
Okay so I think everyone can mostly relate when I say Netflix is really important to me. However, sometimes waiting for new movies to come out just gets old. Target has you covered. They have DVD/Blu Ray selections ranging from $4-$13, so now you can have the biggest hits of 2016 in your own collection. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind watching me before you or Sisters again.
Yep, this is really the only thing Target needed to advertise and I'm sold. 30% off all shoes may not seem like a lot, but when Target is already beating the prices of surrounding shoe stores on normal days, it's quite the deal.
American Eagle
American Eagle was not my thing for about 15 years of my life. But they got me, I mean their jeans are on point. They haven't posted their 2016 Black Friday Ad, but if it's anything like last year, we're in for a treat. 2015 offered 40% of their holiday collection and a free fleece blanket when you spend $75 or more...and that's really easy to do, trust me.
Bath and Body Works
Once again, this store is waiting as long as possible before posting their ads. They did, however, mail out the 2016 VIP Tote Flyer, and if you're a Bath and Body Works enthusiast, get stoked. It will include 7 of their best products adding up to over $115 worth of stuff. You're about to smell the greatest you have in years.
Guitar Center
I think it's safe to say this is the place to be on Black Friday. These sales make me want to buy instruments I've never even heard of. They have a deal on basically everything in the entire store. I mean, I'm tempted to buy a 4th ukulele, just for the heck of it.
This is the route I went last year. I decided to upgrade my little old keyboard and got a digital piano instead, and let me tell you--it was the greatest decision ever. Not only is the music rich and fun to learn, but it's kind of a cute room decoration (girly, I know). Not matter the brand, these pianos are great quality, and $50-100 off is a fantastic deal.
This is my prime example of "I don't know what it does, but I want it." This is called a Trackformer Groover Center, and is normally $299. For Black Friday, you can get it for just $99, and I'm thinking it would create something really amazing. When I saw the AJR Brothers (singers of "I'm Ready") perform, they used similar machines to add different beats, repeats, and flares to the songs and that was the most hype I've ever felt listening to music I don't know.
And of course it would be wrong for Guitar Center not to have sales on guitars. Naturally, these are expensive, because they are really beautiful instruments, but $200 off is a lot, so if you're looking to learn how to play, nows the time to buy. Oh and I can't complain about the cheaper amps.
H&M
Still waiting for the full deals, but head over to their website now for up to 60% off.
Victoria's Secret
This store is not always my go-to because the prices are a bit up there, but they always have fun gifts-with-purchase that make it kind of exciting. This year, if you spend $75, which once again is not hard to do, you get a free tote and mini bag, which has a value of around $100.
PetSmart
UltaMy dog is basically human in my eyes, and he deserves nice things, too. Well, thanks to PetSmart we can get him discounted food and treats, dog clothes, and beds. If you have a long haired dog, you can get 50% of grooming with a purchase as well. NOTE: For these deals, it looks like you need to be a PetPerks member.
I can't officially find the Black Friday ads for Ulta yet, however, it looks like along with a whole bunch of discounts, they will be having a lot of gift-with-purchase options, which is my personal favorite.
Walmart
Ah, yes. The queen of Black Friday deals. It doesn't matter if you like Walmart or not, they have the best deals of Black Friday and I am sorta-kinda terrified to even attempt going there.
This Sharper Image video drone will be only $30, and if drone video interests you even a little bit, this is a smart purchase. The way technology and the media is going today provides you with the perfect opportunity to experiment with these guys, but I'm guessing they're going to go fast.
This Samsung Chromebook 3 is about $80, which will make it only $119 on Black Friday. Personally, I'm more of a MacBook girl, but I've used these in school, and I have no complaints. That price is pretty hard to beat considering all Google Chrome has to offer.
Alright, these are straight-up the weirdest things I've ever heard of. I saw these on the internet the other day and watched about a 13-minute long video about them. Why? Good question, I don't have an answer for that. But I did, and I won't get those 13 minutes back. I've seen all over that these will be the most in-demand christmas toys of 2016, and as odd as they are...I get it. I genuinely think that young-me would have been all over this. But get this-- they are so hard to find now, that they sell for up to $300. I just discovered this about 5 minutes ago and I'm still flabbergasted. However, moms and dads across America are about to be throwin' elbows to get across Walmart on Black Friday, because the price will be reduced all the way down to $48.88. $250 off and these little electronic, self-hatching birds are STILL about $50. 2016 man, what a time to be alive.
This is just a dip into the 2016 Black Friday sales, but it's shaping up to be quite the year for discounts. Keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the ads that should be released shortly. Now go get your walking shoes, your elbow pads, and your game face ready. It's shopping time.
