In the Catholic faith, there are many amazing people that were canonized as saints, or people that followed God with all their hearts. Here is a list of a few saints that have feast days in November. I hope you enjoy!!!
1. Saint Leonard of Noblac
November 6
He is the patron saint of prisoners, captives, women in labor, and horses.
During his lifetime, he released many prisoners and some even followed him when he took to being a hermit in the forest.
2. Saint Leo the Great
November 10
Saint Leo the Great was Pope during the mid 400s. Leo's papacy is often viewed as one of the most important papacies in the Catholic Church. Saint Leo was also proclaimed a doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XIV
3. Saint Albert the Great
November 15
The patron saint of medical technicians, natural sciences, philosophers, scientists, and students.
Saint Albert the Great was the first person to comment on all of the Aristotle writings, making them open for learning and debate among others. He is known for his writings and knowledge on many topics.
4. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary
November 17
She is the patron saint of hospitals, bakers, nurses, brides, dying children, exiles, homeless people, and widows.
She lived her life according to Saint Francis of Assisi, for he was a role model of hers. She built a hospital, visited inmates daily, and gave to the poor.
5. Saint Cecilia
November 22
The patron saint of musicians, hymns, and poets.
She came from a rich family and was married to a man named Valerian, but wanted to remain pure in marriage. She helped Valerian and his brother become faithful to God and they were eventually baptized by the pope. But, Christianity was illegal and they were all executed, and Cecilia was beheaded.
6. Saint Catherine of Alexandria
November 25
The patron saint of unmarried women, and students.
There is not a lot of information about her, but it is often stated that she was born into royalty and was an educated woman. The emperor began executing Christians, and she went to denounce him. Instead of ordering her execution, he ordered a debate. Her debate converted many listeners, and they were all executed almost immediately. Catherine was imprisoned and tortured. She was martyred in Alexandria, Egypt in 305.
