It seems like the older we get, the more we have to worry about in life. As we grow up, our responsibilities grow with us, which lead us to fear numerous aspects in life. Life never gets easier! All of us have a long path. Whether it is going to school, working, raising kid(s), being in a relationship, taking care of someone sick, being sick, being forced to be away from your loved ones, etc., this list has no limits. We all have fears but without these fears, to me, there is no meaning to life.
One of the most amazing diaries I've read is the "Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska." This Saint is so courageous, inspiring, Holy, and motivational to the point where it is impossible not to cry while reading her diary. The tears stream down when you realize that suffering is beautiful. The tears drain when you realize that you're not the only one with fears. In fact, you recognize that your fears are tenuous in comparison to others. I am incompetent to justify how Saint Faustina's live words and life can move mountains. Reading her diary has guided and gave me the direction to look at many things in life differently and positively.
The major issue that we humans have is our incapabilities to stop fearing and worrying. Our fears are the results of all that happens in our lives, and it is not in our control to stop worrying. Saint Faustina' golden words are as follows about fear: "Oh, I fear nothing; if God sends such great suffering to a soul. He uploads it with an even greater grace, although we are not aware of it." These words reveal the truth to us. The truth that after each suffering comes a blessing. The words of this amazing Saint are a beacon of hope, and a proof that good things are about to happen even when we don't realize it.
"Oh, I fear nothing" displaces to us how we should not let anything trouble us. These words are commanding us to have no fear and they're as if God has his angels guarding us and keeping us safe. The "oh" is the limitless power yelling out loud that I am a fool for every time I am afraid. Suffering is seen as a weakness but in reality, it is the sign of strength, especially when we overcome the suffering. It is like reaching the top of the mountain. You go through all the ups and downs, struggles and exhaustion, and the thought of giving up and going back down, but when you reach the top you oversee all the struggle you went through to get there and focus only on the beauty you see from the top.
The second part of Saint Faustina's quote reveals to us the puzzle of suffering. Every great suffer is followed by a greater blessing. This tells us to stay passionate and serene about our torments because after, we would be overjoyed with the coming graces. God wants us to believe in Him all the time and through every step we take. God wants us to stay focused on Him and to trust his ways even when his plans are different from His.
No matter what you go through, remember to keep a strong faith in God and don't let anything trouble you. There is nothing to be afraid of and keep in mind that after rain comes a rainbow. Similarity in your life, after pain comes happiness.
