Netflix has done it again, releasing yet another compelling and well-produced series.

"Safe," a new British crime drama, starring "Dexter's" Michael C. Hall and "Sherlock's" Amanda Abbington, tells the story of a gated community with a dark and secret past.

After a high school party, two teenagers go missing and an all-encompassing investigation ensues. Tom Delaney, played by Hall, goes to great lengths to find his daughter after she suddenly disappears.

Recently widowed, Tom is still haunted by the memory of his late wife, whose past lives on in shocking ways. With the help of his best friend and the cop he is dating, he sets out to uncover the truth about his wife and why his daughter went missing in the first place.

Full of murder, secrets, and deceit, "Safe" is a tempestuous drama that plays off and enforces the notion that no one can ever truly know someone.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
