Jeffree Star's recent videos with Shane Dawson explaining his past have changed everyone's perception of him, especially after the recent drama with Manny MUA, Gabriel Zamora, and Laura Lee. Jeffree, Manny, and Laura used to be the trio until Laura and Manny left to become a new trio with Gabriel. After racist comments from Jeffree resurfaced, many of the new trio's old tweets came back to haunt them, which has a caused a whirlwind spiral for the three, while Jeffree bounced back with the help of Shane Dawson.

Followers revealed a series of racist and fat-shaming tweets from Laura Lee, which caused her to lose more than half of a million followers in less than a month from her Youtube channel. In addition to the resentment, her products and makeup collaborations are being removed from shelves; the biggest brand to disaffiliate with her name is Ulta Beauty, who released a statement explaining their decision. Some of her tweets included: "tip for all black people if you pull your pants up you can run from the police faster...#yourwelcome," along with a follow-up apology video that had lots of excuses and did not seem genuine.
3. Gabriel ZamoraÂ

After Gabriel was caught in the social mess with Laura and Manny, he released a 49 minute video called "My Truth," where he apologized for his past behavior and racist comments. In the video, he directed the apology to all his fans and to Jeffree Star for the photo that he posted. His intent was to recreate Kylie Jenner's 21st birthday photo with her sister, but included a caption directed at Jeffree, and later personally called him to apologize. In the end, he denounced his friendship with Manny MUA.

Tati Westbrook (GlamLifeGuru) is known in the beauty community for her honest reviews of products. Recently, she uploaded a review of Emily Noel's collaboraiton with Makeup Revolution (The Needs and The Wants eyeshadow palette). Tati negatively reviewed the products, which caused many of her fans to be upset because they believed she pushed Emily down. However, there were issues with the palette, so she could have gotten a bad set. Emily even went on Twitter to call out the people bullying Tati for her review. Different products work for different people, and she made it very clear in her follow up video that she will not stay silent to the abuse and toxic responses.
6. Jaclyn Hill
https://www.instagram.com/p/BU-OSnNl11F/Jaclyn Hill also contributed to the long Youtube videos by discussing her controversy with Morphe, income for influencers, and brand deals. In her recent Vault collaboration with Morphe, she received negative reviews which turned out to be inconsistencies with the the first batches of products. She ended up pushing her launch date back, which cost her millions of dollars and the original palettes were recalled. In addition to her Vault collection issues, many of her followers previously believed she was over-promoting the Morphe brand and trying to push them to buy, which heightened during the Morphe fiasco. Also, she recently admitted that $60,000 is a normal price for influencers to charge. However, she continues to reveal that she does not charge that amount, and only makes money from the codes/links in her video's bios. Jaclyn exposed the truth that influencers do typically make tens of thousands of dollars for just mentioning/reviewing a product in their video.
Beauty channels have recently become major influencers in the past few years. However, drama has caused resentment among fans and the loss of thousands of subscribers to some of these channels. This is just the beginning of the beauty drama, so go on a Youtube and Twitter spiral to learn all the tea. Recently, many influencers have exposed how much they actually make, or how much brands are willing to pay to trash competitors. With all of this information in mind, it's your time to pick who you truly believe.
