10 Of The Best Movies To Watch When You Just Want To Cry

In This Article:

There are so many times during the week where all I want to do is cry. And sometimes you need a little help getting the tears flowing. So, here's ten of the best movies to watch when you need a good cry sesh.

"Me Before You"

In the number one spot… Me before you. The real tearjerker, I mean, UGLY CRY. This one hits harder than every movie on this list and I won't even say anything about it besides you HAVE to watch it for yourself.

"My Sister’s Keeper"

This movie is about a little girl with cancer. Just by that, you're probably guaranteed to cry.

"Dear John"

Any movie adapted from a Nicholas Sparks novel is bound to make you cry. Especially if it's about a soldier that falls in love, so this movie.

"The Notebook"

There was no way that I could leave out the classic tear-jerker. Hopefully, you already know what this one is about.

"If I Stay"

This movie may not be sad for everyone, but I cried my eyes out. And no matter how I try to describe the plot of this movie it spoils it. So, just watch it for yourself.

"The Time Traveler’s Wife"

"The Time Traveler's Wife" is a more complicated movie and it starts off a little creepy but it is basically about a guy who falls in love with a girl and their relationship is super complicated due to the fact that he time travels and he can't help when it happens. The last scene is the best scene and when I was like ten I was watching it with my friend and the waterworks were flowing for him.

"Love, Rosie"

If you have ever been in love with your best friend this is the movie for you. I might have been the only person to cry during it though.

"The Fault in Our Stars"

It's about people with cancer that fall in love. It's already sad enough.

"Instant Family"

I truly do not believe that this movie is supposed to make people cry but it is so heartwarming and really makes you appreciate your family.

"Miracle"

Giphy

My all-time FAVORITE movie. It's about the 1980 US Olympic hockey team. I'm a slut for hockey and an even bigger slut for long hair. It's a heartwarming movie that brings me to tears every time. Watch this if you want to see "college" hockey players that hate each other turn into family.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
