Russia Might Have Had A Hand In The Election Result

Because 2016 couldn't have gotten any worse

You might still have family members clinging to the idea that trumpy was the better choice out of the two back in November. “Our president elect isn’t racist- he just won the support of the literal 21st century Nazi movement and declared that Mexicans in America are rapists and murderers.” “He’s not sexist, he just openly admitted to sexually assaulting women while fighting against the claims from dozens of women who say that he sexually assaulted them.” “He’s not evil, he just wants to spark a genocide against Muslim people for having the audacity to exist and have what is essentially the same religion that most Americans have but under a different title.

Here’s another one your loved ones might have to come up with an excuse for. “No he totally won the election fair and square. He just failed to get the popular vote and the fascist government in Russia manipulated the election somewhat!”

US officials aren’t entire sure if we can say for sure what, if anything, Moscow did, but the CIA is pretty sure that they at least hacked some emails and shared them with Republican candidates. Naturally, the rest of the right wing is abuzz with the phrase, “nuh-uh” and the left wing really wants this to be true so we can maybe impeach our new orange president.

Like he does with every controversial thing that should have thrown him in prison or at least kicked him out of the race, trump says that anyone who doubts him must be stupid. Meanwhile, a full investigation is being launched before he can take office.

Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised. Russia did have one of Putin's friends threaten the US with nuclear war if we didn’t elect their best buddy trump. If your candidate is the most pitiful excuse for a politician you can find, your best bet is to bring out the nukes if he didn’t win.

If I were to make a guess, I doubt the outcome of the investigation will change much. The electoral college has already determined that all of the rape, fraud, and child molestation charges weren’t enough to persuade their vote, then I doubt treason will raise alarms for anyone else in the government.

If you’re still unsure as to why everyone is freaking out about the upcoming four years, this is why. In the process of two years, the man taking office has been found to have done and support a lot of horrific things. We have had a spike in hate crimes from the brilliant little snowflakes that voted for him. And no matter what crime the guy commits, he gets away with it and faces no consequences whatsoever. It’s not that Clinton lost. It’s that we are honestly looking at what is the failure of democracy and our government to take action.

We’re in danger and the only way that is going to change is if we take action and force our politicians to be held responsible for their actions.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
