1. You always have someone to hang out with.
No matter what is happening on campus, I have always been able to call up one of my brothers to hang out or get some food. At any point of the day, I could find someone to relax with, and that is not something everyone just has.
2. There is always an event happening of some sort.
Pi Kappa Alpha members at Methodist have their hands in many many pies. I can just meander around the campus and see anything from a group of guys hanging out by the cars, to a pie eating contest impromptu being held on Sink Field. Regardless of where on campus one goes, you are bound to see a Pike doing something worthwhile and doing something fun. Join in if you want, the more the merrier.
3. Pike puts a good foot forward on campus
Pikes don't just know how to have fun, but we also know how to help our community. We engage in amazing involvements, Cycle For Life being one of them, as well as Habitat for Humanity and many other community service projects. Pike men believe in bettering themselves through their community. We do that by any means we can, whether it involves heavy lifting or simple fundraising.
4. Pikes hold each other to a higher standard
Members of Pi Kappa Alpha live in the effort to become better Scholars, better Leaders, better Athletes, and better Gentlemen. This means we have told not only push ourselves in our studies and personal lives, but we also must push each other to be better. Without the support, I'm sure I wouldn't have succeeded as much as I did in my freshman year.
5. Amazing opportunities beyond university
When I'm wearing letters, people recognize me as a member of a greater organization. They don't just see Greek symbols, but they see something bigger, a group that has spent many years attempting to better the world around it and creating individuals of the finest caliber. It reminds me that I don't just have brothers while I am at school, but that I will be a part of this for the rest of my life, and that is something that I can truly take pride in.
