Life is this crazy series of events that can make us question who we are and what we want. Poet, Rupi Kaur somehow taps into my soul and lets me know that I'm not alone. Most of her poems make me want to stand up and snap my fingers all day long. So here are 12 times Rupi Kaur's poems make me feel everything.

1. She understands that life can be too much at times and that it can crumble you, but somehow she makes you feel strong

2. She understands what it's like to feel like you're not enough

3. She understands what it means to be apart of #metoo

4. She understands how certain relationships leave us feeling great and horrible at the same times

5. She understands what it's like to lose a close friend or love

6. She understands the need for someone to comfort you and tell you everything will be alright

7. She understands what it's like to not feel beautiful

9. She understands heartbreak

10.She understands what it's like to be hurt by others

11. She understands what it means to be forced to painfully let go

12. Lastly, she understands the need for an encouraging word of hope

If this didn't make you feel something or want to stand and clap, then I don't know what will. If you loved this, I highly recommend her two books: Milk and Honey; Sun and Flowers.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
