Every day in Raleigh I feel like I see at least four billion people running on the sidewalks! There are people of all shapes and sizes all doing the same thing - engaging in an activity created by Satan himself.
I've played soccer since I was 5-years-old and for many of those years, I was center-midfielder so I was always running. I admit, it wasn't that bad, but since I've gotten out of the habit of running three miles a day during the season I've found it difficult to develop that passion once more.
BUT THOUGH IT MAY BE DIFFICULT, I HAVE TRIED.
Raleigh has so many nature parks with great trails to go for a jog on - my favorite is Lake Johnson Park. It's three miles of paved trail and 1.8 miles of unpaved trail and it's nothing short of amazing and terrible, at the same time.
So, for you runners out there, props to you. I applaud you. I respect you. But I do not understand you.
