5 Things I've Learned Running A Fan Account

One of my best friends convinced me around a year ago to make a fan account on the app Ifunny. I made it at the time for a show called Red vs Blue by roosterteeth and it has since developed into a rainbow six siege account. I love that account because it has brought to me some of my closest friends today and has shown me an amazing side of the internet.

1. With effort, you can grow

It took me awhile but on my own account, I am at 338 subs for my main and 300 for my other. This is awesome to me since I have no issues being a small account. My best friend that got me into this is at 968 and her account is still growing! She makes amazing edits and interacts with all her fans.

2. You make amazing friends

Some of my best friends I have met because of my account. These are amazing people that I know I can always count on. I joke on my account that I need to take a US tour with Jade to meet all our fans and some actually are trying to meet up with us.

3. Recognition does happen

It is really weird when you're out minding your own business and someone yells your account name. Especially when you aren't that popular. That happened to me when walking around Milwaukee once. The fan lives here and he has actually become one of my friends. He knows all the good places to eat.

4. You can be yourself

Running the account means I can do it how I want. I prefer to not be fake on mine and let my personality show a lot. This is awesome for when posting art or cosplays because you can share it with people who like the same things.

5. People are so supportive

Whether it's of your art, cosplay, or edits your subs support you a lot. When I started streaming video games I absolutely sucked at it but my subs supported me and helped me become so much better at it. We form our own little community with these profiles and it is absolutely amazing
