Starting on June 13 through the 23 I got to experience a whole new world when my mom, my sister and I decided to take a trip on a cruise. To start off, we went through the cruise line the Royal Caribbean on their boat "Anthem of the Seas". The boat alone was had 16 decks meaning it was about 16 stories high. This included a casino, multiple dining areas, a small shopping area, a giant music hall, two theatres, and all of the cabins that housed over 1,000 staff members and all of the guests.

To start we took this trip with my aunt, uncle, their daughter and husband, and their son. This made eight of us total. Now imagine trying to communicate where everyone was with no cellphone, no texting, no Wi-Fi, no email, nothing but good old fashioned talking. Yeah it was every millennials worst nightmare. However, it was also a good experience to be free from your phone and instead enjoying the experiences.
We went to a total of four islands including Bermuda, St. Marten, Puerto Rico (Specifically San Juan), and Haiti (a private beach). All of these places had something new to experience. In Bermuda, our first stop, we went snorkeling, seeing all the beautiful fish and the reefs.
Next stop was the beautiful island of St. Maarten. Fun fact it is the smallest land mass occupied by two separate nations, the French and the Dutch. Unfortunately this area is still recovering from hurricane Irma, but we still had fun going to see the famous airport, Princess Juliana International Airport. Here the planes literally fly right over a tiny beach, a two lane road and then immediately have to land over the fence directly next to the road.

From there San Juan was a site to experience with their beautiful colored buildings and the fort that protected them from invaders. However it was also very sticky and hot out so we did a little touring before the downpour of rain caused us to return to the boat.
Our last stop was the wonderful private beach on the island of Haiti. Here, I got to go jet skiing for the first time, and whatever my sister tells you, I did not almost kill her while driving it. They also have the world's longest zip line over a body of water, which I also participated in. This was a thrilling and beautiful site to behold. All of the opportunities given to us on the islands were amazing. Being able to experience all of this and not to mention it was my first time out of the country.

It all wrapped up with two days at sea. However, we were far from being bored. the Cruise provided a list of activates to do everyday for the guests. This included bingo, name that tune gameshow, trivia, napkin folding (I can proudly make a candle( that's it), musical performances, comedians, jugglers, and of course a lot of food. It was overall an experience that I am proud to say that I got to do. Seeing the clear blue ocean, and relaxing in the sun with my mom was something I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
