It's that time of the year when people head back to the mall to exchange the gift that maybe were less than ideal. Instead of switching out that cat sweater from your Great Aunt with a new leather bag, try staying in style with these Vogue approved shoes from Rothy's.

Each shoe is made up of about 3 plastic water bottles and is knit it about only 6 minutes. Besides recycling, the company took waste reduction into their start up. Their technology prints the exact amount of ink needed for each shoe, to prevent unused resources.
The entire shoe is only made up of three materials being the water bottles, the sole, and the ink. The shoe is said to feel like a soft fabric as opposed to walking on hard plastic. Creators say it is similar to the process of making the popular Nike Flyknits except Rothy's uses 3D threads as opposed to their 2D.Finally, they only make shoes when ordered. This way there is o excess product. There will not be pairs of shoes lying around never to be worn. Each pair will be used by some person.
