The anti-democratic supporters have been known to say “when they go low, we go high.” I am now even more certain than before that liberals and democrats have a completely different idea about which direction is up. The perfect example of going low, to this democrat, was on November 21, 2016 at 11:49 pm via tweet. Rosie O’Donnell tweeted “Barron Trump Autistic? If so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic” and linked a video of the 10-year-old at his father’s victory after the election.
First of all, I cannot believe he was criticized for his actions. Most parents, especially mothers were thinking “wow, my kids would’ve acted horrible at 3 am.” Rosie has children, so the fact that she went there was surprising. Why would anyone go after a child? It says something about true character. As a teacher and a mother, I can tell you this, CHILDREN ARE OFF LIMITS! Sure, I can criticize my own kids, but no one else can. I am their mother and I get frustrated with them. This is normal. I can speak out about what I CHOOSE to speak out about and even joke about things in regards to MY children. That DOES NOT give anyone else the right to. Some may think this is a double standard, but I can assure you it is not. I have a better understanding and see all aspects of MY child. Plus, I gave birth to them so it gives me the right to say things I feel appropriate via social media, and most importantly, I love them unconditionally. There are so many people that have met my children and every single one of them would have a different opinion based on their unique experience with my child.
Let me tell you this, children are night and day at any given moment. So, Barron Trump was amazing. He was exactly what ANY PARENT would PRAY FOR! Parents know what their kids are capable of, and we pray every time we go in public they show only the appropriate and kind humans we see on occasion, they can be. We want people to see the good part of them.
In reality, we know our kids are capable of being terrors, to say the least. And yet, Barron Trump acted above and beyond what most parents would have expected from their child. Not to mention, he was in the direct angle of the camera during most of Trump's speech, therefore unable to get away with anything really. For a ten-year-old boy to have his dad running for POTUS and find out he won….I am sure that was exciting, but took a lot out of him. How exhausting. He stayed awake until 3AM to be with his family on stage as his dad gave a short speech. ANY PARENT can tell you that keeping a kid up WAY after their bedtime is tough. I cringe at the thought of how my kids would act…even the teenagers actually.
So, to Rosie and anyone else that feel the need to go after a child, you are the one with problems. Whether or not Barron is Autistic, is none of our business unless HIS parents make it our business. To say you “care” and that is why you bring attention to it, is a lie. To care for a child is not to try and humiliate them or their family, and that is exactly what Rosie was trying to do.The way I see it, if you speak ill of a child's parents in front of them, they probably feel like you are speaking directly to them. They are a piece of that parent. They take offense because they love their parent, but also because they are a part of that person. And so what if he is? If he did happen to be, what would give Rosie the right to speak out about it? This is just another way for her to try and attack Trump. It is no secret the two hate each other. Say what you want, but she is disgusting for acting this way and to go so low. Wait, shouldn’t she “GO HIGH”? Isn’t that what Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton said, “When they go low, we go high.” I do not think that was going high.
Rosie O’Donnell also attacked Trump’s deceased brother on Twitter. First a man no longer alive and then a kid... she obviously likes attacking the ones that cannot defend themselves. In 2014, Trump took to Twitter and posted: “Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb- other than that I like her very much." I think we all can see exactly why he thought that way. I think that is pretty nice compared to what I would've said.
