Having roommates that are your best friends basically means you are having a never-ending sleepover. Living together brings you to a whole new level of closeness, and also means you've probably talked about everything with each other. They are there through the good, bad, funny and everything in between. Here are some of the things that me and my roommates say to each other every day.

1. "What are you wearing today?"

When we get up at the same time we are usually too tired to talk to each other. But the one thing that is guaranteed to start a conversation is when we are trying to figure out what to wear.

2. "Are you hungry?"

We always seem to get hungry at the same times and we can usually agree on what we want to eat. Whether we are going to the dining hall or going out to get food I can always count on my roommates to get food with me.

3. "How was your day?"

My roommates are the people I go to no matter what kind of day I'm having. We all listen to each other's stories from class and work no matter if they are good or bad.

4. "I'm tired."

I don't think it is possible to be a college student without being tired all of the time. This phrase definitely gets thrown around between my roommates and I very frequently.

5. "How is it already past midnight?"

Even when we know that we have to get up early the next morning, we somehow manage to talk all night, every night.

6. "Does anyone want to make a Target trip this weekend?"

The answer to this question is always yes. No matter how many Target runs we make, we always manage to forget something.

7. "I need a snack."

It seems like at least one of us is always hungry. A trip to the vending machine never hurt anyone, right?

8. "I need to clean"

Because we all share a room it is really obvious when one of us has started to get messy. But it is impossible to keep everything looking perfect during the business of the week, so we all end up saying this quite a bit until we actually have a chance to clean.

9. "We should probably take out the trash."

There are only three of us, but somehow our trash can fills up super quickly, and none of us enjoy taking it out.

10. "I need coffee."

College is exhausting, and a day without coffee is not a good one.

11. "You look cute."

My roomies have good style, so we are always complimenting each other's outfits.

12. "What are we doing tonight?"

We always find something to do, whether we go out, make cookies, go out to dinner, etc.

13. "Thanks for being my roommate and my bff."

No matter what we all appreciate each other, and have a good time with each other every day.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
