7 Jobs Your Roommate Has

She's got your back with everything that college throws at you.

If you are anything like my roommate and I, you have a friendship with your roomie. You’re lucky to have gotten a roommate that is easy to get along with and more importantly cool to live with. Whether you found her on Facebook or went random, a roommate is a big part of life in college. This list goes through some of the jobs that a roommate has that help you get through college.

1. Doctor.

When you have a stomachache or something is making you feel sick, your roommate is the one you go to with all your medical questions. Who needs the health clinic on camps when your roomie can tell you if what’s going on is normal or not.

2. Nutritionist.

You're roommate is the one who you usually eat all meals with, so she convinces you to either eat healthy or cheat. She will tell you honestly whether or not you should have the mac and cheese from the dining hall or a salad. Also, she will share her snacks that she keeps in the room with you.

3. Personal trainer.

A roommate also doubles as a personal trainer when she motivates you to go to the gym and be active. You guys are gym buddies and you can complain to her about how much you hate working out. After the gym, you guys can go back to the room and eat a whole carton of Ben and Jerry’s because she won’t judge.

4. Tutor.

College classes are no joke, but luckily your roommate can help you out with homework. It’s amazing when you guys are both in the same class, that way your guys do homework together and share answers. Two minds are better than one!

5. Stylist.

Everyday without fail, your roommate helps you out big time when it comes to picking out an outfit. She always know the answer to questions like, “Which shoes go with this shirt?” Especially when getting ready to go out on the weekends. A roommate acts as a personal stylist when you go though every piece of clothing in your closet.

6. Babysitter.

A good roommate is there to watch over you when you party too hard on the weekends. She’s also got your back in awkward situations like when a guy doesn't get the hint that you don't want to flirt. She’ll tell you when its time to go back to the dorm and call it a night.

7. Therapist.

With all the stressful and crazy things that happen over a course of a semester at college, you need someone to vent to. A roommate is the perfect person who you can rant to about your day. She will listen to all of the drama and always take your side.
