1. Borrowing personal items without permission.
If you are going to borrow anything from your roommate, make sure you ASK and just don't take; the biggest thing is if you are planning on borrowing things is communication. Communication is KEY. For example, you can ask the night before "do you mind if I barrow your sweater for class tomorrow" and you and your roommate can have open communication.
2. Messy living habits.
if your roommate is disorganized, then you as the neat roommate will have to deal with it. You could talk about a plan where you guys pick one day a week to clean each side your room. This was one of my biggest worries coming to college, that I wasn't going to stay clean and organized, my stuff would move over to my roommates side.
3. Eating the other person’s food.
We can all admit that dining hall food isn't the best and everyone would rather have the comfort of the food that they enjoy from home. But again, if you have a roommate you need to ask if you can their food and make sure that they are ok with it. Your roommate is spending their money on their food and that is something that as roommate, you need to respect one another and then everything will come into place.
4. Noise
If you are going to have friends over, make sure you INFORM your roommate and especially if it is going to be late. One thing that you should do make sure you and roommate agree on time they will leave; the curfew for both of you is vital to surviving in your collegiate career.
