Roll With The Punches

Sometimes You Have To Roll With Life's Punches

Roll With The Punches

Life likes to throw things at people everyday. Life will throw both good and bad things at people, and usually those things are unexpected. The important thing is how people react. People can see this as an opportunity to break down, give up, and consider this as their life coming to end; people can see this as an opportunity to grow, keep going, and roll with the punches as well. When you roll with the punches you look life in the face and tell it that nothing it throws it you will force you to give up and quit. When you roll with the punches you keep going when it gets tough and never stop going. Rolling with the punches may sound like one of the hardest things in the world, and it may feel like it when you’re facing some of life's toughest moments, but rolling with the punches is what will get you through life's toughest moments and bring you out as a stronger and better person. The growth a person gains from rolling with the punches is some of the most important growth they will ever gain. One of the easiest things a person can do in life is quit. Quitting takes away the difficulty and allows people to take the easy way out. But what is accomplishing when quitting takes place? What can people gain from quitting? Nothing is gained nor learned from quitting. When a person rolls with the punches and keeps going, they learn a lot about what they actually are capable of and learn a lot about themselves. True strength is not giving up when that seems like the only option, true strength is not letting the hardest things a person faces overcome them, true strength is looking life in the face and telling it that you aren't giving up. True strength is rolling with the punches and continuing on.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
