He is one of the best-selling music artists in the world and now he's finally getting a biopic movie about him. "Rocketman" is set to be released on May 31st and stars Taron Egerton as the colorful lead role. The film will cover the artist's biggest breakthrough years from when he was just a piano prodigy to international superstar. "Rocketman's" release actually comes at a perfect time with its follow up to the box office bonanza to "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Alongside Taron is Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, Elton's lyricist and writing partner. Richard Madden as Elton's first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton's mother Sheila Farebrother.

In a new promotions video for the film, Dexter Fletcher the director of the film says that Taron is an actor of incredible range and only he can do a role like Elton John. The greatest quote from the teaser trailer comes from Giles Martin, the films music producer. He said, "Elton said I don't think I've ever heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron, and the great thing about Elton is that he wants Taron's interpretations of his songs." Taron will actually be singing in the film and if that doesn't get you excited I don't know what will. 2019 is full of highly anticipated films and this one is definitely up there.

More updates on the film we be out in future dates but make sure to check out the biopic on May 31st.
