The leaves are beginning to fall, the air is crisp, and all around fall shades of browns, yellows and oranges are showing up on trees, in farmers markets and especially in stores. Although I think fall is one of the best times of the year, I always go for deep reds, greens and beige colors in my fall outfits and I tend to shy away from wearing any yellow or orange tones. I've always thought that pulling off these seasonal shades is one of the hardest things to do, especially depending on your natural skin tone or hair color. But this season, there are so many chic styles that I've seen people strutting in and I am ready to conquer my fashion-phobia! Let's take a look at some of the coolest fall fashions in the hottest fall colors and find tips and tricks to mastering these looks!

1. Tie Sleeve Sweater

ASTR the Label

One way that I have started to become more comfortable trying organge items is to opt for a shade that is almost a pinky-orange. The soft tone isn't as initially jarring as some organge tops, and it's easier to pair scarves and acessories with. This sweater features feminine details and tied bell sleeves that are very on-trend. Also, this pastel orange is the perfect pair with your favorite winter-white denim!

2. Wide Rib Mock Neck Sweater

BP.

Pair your favorite plaid scarf that has yellow detailing with this ribbed sweater in a mustard shade. When you add a necklace or scarf, it breaks up the monotony of yellow that this oversized sweater may create. Another great option would be to pair this sweater with you favorite winter vest!

3. Jovan Crewneck Belted Sweater

Goodnight Macaroon

Details, details–this sweater is sure to be your go-to for a simple and sassy fall look. The bubble sleeves end with cute cuffs, so you won't have to worry about them getting in your way. Another great thing about this sweater is that it shows off your natural waist with the addition of that belt! I think that it is easy to lose our figures under our favorite big, chuncky knit sweaters, so I love that this one switches things up.

4. Boulson Sleeve Cardigan

Leith

Who doesn't love a cardigan to just throw over a cami and jeans, am I right? This cardi has a character all it's own with that classic just-above-the-knee length but adds a touch of sass with those bubble hem sleeves. One trend that I have noticed particularly with the use of orange and yellow tones is pairing a leopard bootie or bag to complete the look. In theory, I would think that the statement print would clash with fall tones, but the more that I see ladies rock it, the more I love it!

5. The Richards Jumpsuit

Show Me Your Mumu

Remember how I said texture would be trending this fall? Well, here you go! For your fall evenings out on the town, this crushed velvet jumpsuit is sure to be one of your favorite and easiest outfits. Again, notice the leopard print accents!

6. Lace Midi Dress

ASTR the Label

Another great example of texture as well as that soft pinky-orange shade! This is such a feminine way to incooporate the fall colors trend into your wardrobe, especially if your go-to style is something classic and chic.

7. Feux Sude Ruffle Mini Skirt

Soprano

Y'all- this skirt is just too perfect for fall! The ruffles and fitted sillouette pair perfectly with your favorite white or black sweater. If you're concerned about keeping warm in this mini-skirt, opt for a pair of over the knee boots. They've always got you covered!

I hope that you all feel more confident in your ability to wear and pair orange with other items from your wardobe. There are so many awesome items out right now that you're sure to love, even in an orange or yellow shade. So take an inhale of fall air, sip on a seasonal latte, sit back and shop.

Hoping your fall outfits are as fabulous as you are!

Happy fall and happy shopping!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
