Every college student wants to do something amazing before he or she graduates. There are hundreds of possibilities but not everyone has the money to jump on a plane and go wherever they want. That's why road trips are an amazing experience. You get to drive through miles and miles of scenery instead of passing over it.
As the old good Miley Cyrus had said, "Ain't about what's waiting on the other side, It's the climb". I don't know about you, but in my opinion, being stuck in a car with other people for a long time is the best way to get to know someone's true self. Getting to know people, seeing new and different places, having the time of your life - there is nothing better.
Route 66 is probably the most American road trip you can have. Stretching from Chicago, IL. to Santa Monica, California. Going through mountains and valleys. Stopping in the cutest small towns along the way. What's nice is that many more people have access to this Route because it stretches across the country!
Route 1 is also a long stretch of highway from Fort Kent, Maine to Key West, Florida. The east coast is known for their different cultures and taking this road trip. There are beaches one after the other. Talk about the unlimited tan!
Much like Route 1, Pacific Coast Highway is the west coast version. With diverse cultures and divine scenery, it is a place of sun, sand, and greatness. It goes from places like Seatle to Bakersfield to San Diego. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT FIND!
What more can you ask for? Driving down the Mississippi river is amazing! What's nice about this route is that you see exactly how the north is different from the south. The different cultures, environment, and different people will change you . . . even being amazing by the different accents.
U.S.Highway 50 is also known as the loneliest road following the Pony Express route. It is known for going through inhabited areas but with plenty of beautiful views! And hello no traffic!
These are just some of the many roads one could take. Find out what you are looking for in your vacation and see which road works for you. or even just follow a road to see where it goes, It's not about the destination, it's about the climb!
