In all honesty, the first couple of hours of being on the road doesn't seem so bad. Once, what seems like you have done everything, you start asking "are we there yet?" or "how many more hours?" Here are 10 solutions to keep you busy while sitting in the passenger or back seats. Sorry, drivers!

Read your favorite book

Reading

Grab your favorite novel and reread it! If you're like me and get car sick from even reading on my phone, audiobooks are for you. Just sit back and listen.

Karaoke

White Chicks

Not into reading? Scroll down your playlists, pick a song, and sing — or should I say scream — until you lose your voice!

Take a nap

Nap

Feeling tired or even bored? Simply close your eyes because time flies when you nap. You'll be at your destination in no time!

Make sure driver doesn't fall asleep

Passenger

Be a good passenger/friend and keep your driver company while the others in the back are sleeping. Don't worry, in the next rotation it'll be your turn to sleep.

Vlog

vlog

This is for all you aspiring Youtube vloggers. If you don't have a fancy, expensive camera, an iPhone would do. Take videos of everything and anything to capture all the little details from your road trip.

Play the license plate game

Look around

I don't know about you, but when my family and I get super bored this is always the go-to game. It's so funny how competitive the game gets. The real question is, how well do you know your license plates?

Go on your phone

scrolling through SM

This is the perfect time to scroll through social media and play your phone games for hours. No need to touch your phone when you're there, am I right?

Name that song

I knew it

Winner gets to choose the next song! Wait five seconds . . . if you know it, answer!

Mad Libs

Mad libs

Mad Libs are a hit or miss. You'll either laugh until you pee or wonder why this game was ever invented.

 Jam out again and again

Jam out

Finally, you and your friends are so close, yet so far from where you have to be. Blast the volume, turn up the bass and jam out over and over again until you're there!

Finished with the list? Do it ALL over again!

Happy spring break!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
