While we all struggle with the differences we face either with each other or even within ourselves, we forget answers to the most simple questions. The most common: what is the purpose of life? Well, to live, of course, why else? We do struggle to answer the question, but it really can be as simple as living. You know, to enjoy that bottle of wine and be able to taste it, being either bitter or sweet(personally I prefer sweet). Or maybe you can’t afford or don’t like wine, but you have that last spoonful of soup to enjoy and taste that someone else doesn’t. Maybe it isn’t what you can taste, but what you can see. Maybe it is sitting on the porch in the early summer watching fire flies. Either way, we have a life to live, so it is time to live it! Recognizing that we are the only persons in our way. No one else.
As wakingtimes.com writes, "there are 7 stumbling blocks that are in the way of reaching the road to higher consciousness. These include: fear, Low-self confidence, Laziness, being different, stuck in the same job, the skeptic individual, and lack of passion." Now looking at these, I don’t know about anyone else, I recognize a few that seem to plague my way to becoming better connected, body and mind. Maybe some of us don’t have all seven of the stumbling blocks, but having just a few can hinder our ability to reach our goals. But what I find most often trips me flat on my face is attempting too much at once. Maybe your goal to feeling better would be to meditate. Except you have set the goal of 30 minutes and often find you skip because you just don’t have that time today. Well, what I can say worked for me to start out doing it for only five minutes a day. It worked great and I noticed that I was now meditating for at least fifteen minutes. It was a slow progression, but I was making the habit.
I agree that we need the passion in the things we like or love to do, but I don’t always find that we do it without making a habit of it. I guess that would tie into laziness; laziness is sometimes leapt over when we make a habit of things. The list of what stops us could probably go on for days, but to be brutally honest with my readers: I am writing this short and sweet piece to fulfill my joy in writing and to have some form of writing for the week. I am making a habit of this, killing the laziness. Also, I wanted to write something that maybe could inspire someone else. It could be a good idea to explore into the 7 stumbling blocks. Expand in the different components. Perhaps you might find a few on your list and would like to overcome them. But remember, just one step at a time is required.
