We create our own happiness by self-fulfillment.

Is it not all crazy when we think and reflect on our lives? The excitement of our first job that could be getting hired to fired from it, our first true love which could be falling in or out of it, our first heartbreak that can consist of losing someone you thought would always be there, to losing a loved one unexpectedly.

We experience these things to prepare us for the bigger and better things that happen in our lives. Although we are given lessons to learn from them and grow, we may not always abide by that lesson at the time we need it.

We may not see it then, but we sure do when the moment comes. You see...life has a funny way of slapping us in the face to prepare us for what is to come and even though we think that sometimes our lives are falling apart, they might just be falling together. We create our own pathways and journeys to lead us to where we want to be and who we want to be in this life, our life.

Growing up, I always admired people for the qualities they had, whether it was a physical or mental trait they had. It could have been the prettiest girl in the class to a random lady walking into a room and having all eyes on her. In today's society, we are almost always competing with each other in order to get an approval from someone, and If we keep our mindsets like this, we will never truly be happy.

That being said, we create our own happiness not by approval, but by self-fulfillment. It is not guaranteed that it will be rainbows and dandelions all the time, but we do hold that power to keep us sane and content. We each hold the key to our success and however we get there, well...that part is on us.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
