The floor at the convention on Monday had moments of organized chants of, "roll call vote, roll call vote," along with yelling and disarray. All part of an attempt to hold a vote from all of the delegates on a motion that is necessary before the convention can officially begin.
The idea behind the opposition is to create a process that time-consuming for the convention and would thus lead to delays and hold ups for scheduled speakers, "the Trump family," and performers, "the Trump family".
Shortly after the disruption, a voice vote was conducted of ayes and nays as opposed to the roll call that would officially record the vote.
This is all attributed to an effort to prevent and create problems in the nomination of Donald J. Trump.
Although a lot of noise was created during the first few hours of the convention, the attempt failed and Trump staffers and supporters managed to swindle their way through state delegates to convince them to change their minds on the push for a roll call vote.
Out of what we've seen so far with delegates in support of Trump yelling, "USA, USA, USA," and delegates in opposition clearly dissatisfied with their options and proceeding with chanting with their fists held high, this might be the beginning of a very lengthy convention process and The Donald's road to a nomination.
Even with a fraction of the party still opposing the ideas and legitimacy of the Trump campaign, there very well may be just enough support to create further hiccups in the coming days but giving the overwhelming support Trump has gained within the Republican Party, it seems inevitable that the nomination will proceed without delay.
