Remembering The Legacy Of The Greatest Of All Time

On June 3, 2016 the world lost the boxing champion Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 17, 1942. From the young age of 12, Ali learned about boxing and from there went into a golden career in the sport. After his high school graduation, Ali was on the road to the Olympics and in 1960 he became a gold medalist. From the Olympics, Ali went on to the Golden Gloves tournament And after three years, Ali took the title as Golden Glove Champion.

In 1981, Muhammad Ali retired from the boxing career. He retired with a record of 56 wins, five losses and 37 knockouts. Ali's fight didn't end in the ring. He often fought battles for civil rights with his mentor Malcolm X and against the Vietnam war which costed him 4 years of his career. As well as his fight both in and outside of the ring, Ali was an inspiration for the world. With his quotes and speeches at colleges, Ali definitely touched people with his words.

Each of these quotes are inspiring to me because they push me to the the greatest version of myself I can be. Muhammad Ali was the greatest and his words were the way in which he pushed us all to be the greatest. His fight against Parkinson's disease didn't defeat him and he is remembered as a legend, activist, and a champion. May he rest in peace and may the world forever remember Muhammad Ali.
