RIP Kobe Bryant; The World Lost A Legend

I think I speak for everyone when I say that today's news comes as a complete shock. Today the world lost a legend and a great man. Kobe Bryant is the kind of person that everyone aspired to be. He was a hero to so many people.

We grew up playing basketball outside or on a basketball, and we would imagine that we were Kobe Bryant. We all wanted to be like him. He was the kind of player that both boys and girls could look up. He carried himself differently most basketball players. Bryant showed us how a true champion should carry themselves. He was humble in victory and truly gracious in defeat.

Kobe Bryant transcend the game of basketball, he was a role model to so many others in different sports. He was the kind of person that anyone could model themselves after. He had a natural presence that you could feel when he walked into the room. He was the kind of person that had the presence that demanded everyone's attention when he walked into the room.

There is no denying that Kobe Bryant was a legend. His record on the basketball court with the Los Angeles Lakers can speak to that. A true legend is someone who has the respect of not only people around him but his family as well. There was no denying that Kobe Bryant was a family man, and that his family came first in his life. Today has to be devastating for his family to not only lose a great man, but a beautiful and gracious daughter as well. There is no denying that his daughters were graced with the same presence that he had and they carried themselves with dignity and class.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that Kobe Bryant will forever be missed. He was the greatness and a legend. Rest In Peace Kobe Bryant. We will forever miss you.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
