Recapture that feeling

If you've ever spent a semester abroad, it's very likely that you became accustomed to the new way of life you'd adopted during your stay--something that has inevitably complicated your subsequent departure. You may have been forced to return and readjust to your former routines and lifestyle, but that doesn't mean you have to leave behind everything you fell in love with during your time away. After visiting some of the most magnificent monuments and cities the world has to offer, it might seem impossible to find adventure back at home, but it's there.

You just have to look a little harder in perhaps some unexpected places:

1. Apply to the Disney College Program.

If you're craving something that's going to be somewhat similar to your abroad university experience, this might be your best bet. Unless you're from Anaheim, California or Orlando, Florida, you'll be away from home and making magical memories everyday while working for the Mouse - an environment just designed for adventure. You'll have the option to take classes if you'd like and you can spend as much of your free time in the Disney Parks as you want - it doesn't get much better than that! (Plus you'll get paid, which you maybe didn't get to do abroad if you didn't have a work visa).

2. Check out Trip Advisor.

You've probably made the mistake of maintaining the mindset that there's absolutely nothing to do where you live, but here's what you don't know: you only feel that way because you live there. Seriously. Play tourist and take a gander on Trip Advisor for various shops and restaurants and activities you didn't even realize were already at your very fingertips. You won't be bored for a long time once you do.

3. Explore local towns/cities.

Always remember: it doesn't need to be Paris or London or Tokyo or Rome to be worth seeing. If you have a town or city nearby with a lot of history and/or beautiful sights, check it out. Discover every beaten path, every nook and cranny. You just might be surprised by what you find and fall in love with a world just outside your backyard.

4. Take a hike. Go camping.

It's impossible to not find adventure in the great outdoors. Leave civilization behind for a few hours or days and you won't be disappointed.

Trust me, you'll find that feeling that you're looking for.

Toilet Troubles

"So, usually I would never go on a Tinder date but when you are out with girlfriends and a hot Bosnian guy says he wants to hang with you and his friends, you oblige. We head to their apartment and when I realized I may pee my pants if I don't find a bathroom soon. I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"

I can confidently say that about 90 percent of all the friends I have are male. It's just always been that way since I was a kid. Over the years, I've heard a lot of things and I've learned a lot of things, and here it all is. Enjoy!

If you're a girl with a guy best friend you know that...

Greek Life
Clare Concannon

With being a member of Greek life, you are going to come across people who HATE Greek life and who always want to say something negative towards it. If you're not a part of Greek life, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But maybe try and keep some of the not-so-nice comments to yourself.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. 5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.
