For any Bachelor in Paradise fans out there, you've read about the drama between Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Blake Horstmann after their short relationship before the filming of Paradise this year. I'm also sure that we've all seen and read the text conversations between the couple after Horstmann released them last week. I see how Caelynn is in the wrong, just as well as I see that Blake is in the wrong. But one thing we're not discussing is the character differences between Caelynn, Hannah G, and Nicole. One thing that really seemed to bother me this week was Nicole's actions after being sought-after by 3 different bachelors: Clay, Jordan, and Christian. I felt that she came across as a bit cocky, constantly saying that she's "the bachelorette of paradise." Now, I'm all for self-confidence and hyping yourself up, but what really made me fed up was the way she led on all 3 men. It's almost as if she was asking for Jordan and Christian to start fighting. She sat there and did not say a word about what she wanted. I understand that this is Paradise and that the idea is to be bold and meet a lot of new people, but at the same time, with a goal to be engaged in a few weeks, I don't think it's right to lead people on. In this same way, I think Hannah G is really leading on both of her suitors, Blake and Dylan. The one problem I have with this situation in particular is that she is not speaking up for herself, similar to what Nicole did later in the episode. When Dylan confronted Hannah and Blake, she stood there and watched them argue instead of leading a more civilized conversation. If she was really ready for marriage I believe that she would be looking for one person who genuinely has strong feelings for her that will last a lifetime. I hope Dylan starts to notice these red flags and realize that Blake is not the problem, but Hannah is. It's time they have a serious conversation about their future. On the contrast, even though there has been a lot of drama surrounding Caelynn these past few days, one thing that I commend her on is her assertiveness within each of her relationships. After her date with Mike, she didn't promise him anything regarding their future because she wasn't really sure yet. It wasn't until after her date with Dean where she realized what she wanted and put all of her focus into her relationship with him. She cut off ties with Mike in order to ensure that he wouldn't feel led on. This way he can continue searching for love in Mexico before it's too late. This difference between these women I believe shows maturity and I hope all women watching the show can understand the importance of speaking up before the lack of words hurts others around you and causes confusion.
