Trust me, I totally understand the love for Christmas, it's 100% one of my favorite holidays. But I will always strongly believe in the fact that November 1st is not the start if the holiday season. Maybe I'm being bias as Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, but our instinct to rush through November will haunt us later throughout the year.
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to reflect on how grateful we are to be alive and to have loved ones surrounding us. We are rushing through the seasons and, most importantly, are not living in the moment. We jump straight to holiday celebrations and forget that we are still in autumn. Shopping malls, grocery stores, and even front porches are already all decked out for winter, but Halloween was literally 3 days ago. Not sure if it's just me, but I think holiday celebrations shouldn't start until after Thanksgiving has passed. This way we don't rush through the last few months of the year. Christmas will feel all the more special if we wait a bit extra for it. After all, if we celebrated Christmas all year long, it wouldn't be as magical anyways :)
