Today I will be reviewing for you some of Lush's lip scrubs and lip balms. The lip balms are generally around $8 while the lip scrubs are about $10, so they're a bit pricey. But let's take into account some things; all of Lush's products are ethically hand-made with all natural products, they do not test on animals, they are actually quite effective, and they generally taste and smell really really good. So with all of this in mind, let's get onto the review.
1. Honey Trap
This is the first lip balm I tried. It has a sweet scent and taste, something like vanilla and white chocolate and just a touch of honey. This balm was extremely moisturizing, containing shea butter, almond oil, olive oil, and honey, and it also has oat infusion for those with more sensitive skin. It's one of Lush's best sellers.
2. Whip Stick
This chocolate delight is my favorite of the two lip balms I tried. It contains basically the same ingredients as Honey Trap, but with dark chocolate instead of honey. It has a lovely chocolate-orange scent that I adore, and while I have found that it is not as moisturizing as honey trap, it's still a yummy treat for the lips.
3. Mint Julips
Another chocolatey treat, Mint Julips is my favorite of the three lip scrubs I'll be reviewing today. While Whip Stick is an orange-chocolate sort of scent, Mint Julips tastes like mint chip ice cream - my favorite flavor. Lush scrubs are made with sugar and organic jojoba oil, making them not only great for exfoliation but for moisturizing, too. As the name suggests, this scrub also has peppermint oil, giving the lips a fresh tingly feeling after application.
4. Popcorn Lip Scrub
If you're a fan of sweet and salty, Popcorn is for you. Lush's website says, "Just try not to eat it straight from the pot!" I had to try really, really hard. Popcorn was the first scrub I tried, and I scrubbed my lips so often with this just because I loved the taste. This scrub also uses jojoba oil and coconut oil for intense hydration.
5. Santa's
Last but not least, we have Santa's lip scrub. This scrub is infused with cherry and date extract, and has cute, edible hearts in it. Compared to the other two lip scrubs, Santa's formula, for whatever reason, made it thicker in texture, which I actually prefer. Additionally, Santa's red color stains the lip a little bit, but it wasn't anything off putting. This one tastes like Cherry Coke, in my opinion, and it is a special holiday item of Lush's.
So, for yummy flavors and super soft lips, check out Lush's lip balms and scrubs!
