So I couldn't help myself. I have been telling myself not to watch anything new for the new Venom movie, but, of course, I cave in and watch the latest trailer anyways. For those who don't really know what this is about, allow me to help. Venom is a movie about a journalist, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), who tries to uncover the truth behind Life Foundation but comes into contact with an alien life form called a symbiote. This ultimately grants him amazing powers as long as he shares his body with the symbiote.

Not that a trailer could really give away much about an entire movie *cough cough* this new Venom trailer gives me a little more hope for it. Personally, I never was really convinced from the first few trailers that this movie will be great. Yeah…I think the way Venom looks is freaking amazing and leagues better than what we saw in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. It truly baffles me how they let that series go from amazing in "Spider-Man 2" too embarrassing in "Spider-Man 3", but that's for another time. I think I should note that my opinions on this Venom are purely from a movie standpoint, and my knowledge of Venom, as a character, is limited to what he did with Spider-Man. But even if that were the case, I don't know if Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is supposed to sound the way he does in this movie. I love Tom Hardy as an actor, but I don't know about this one. But honestly, it's just that his portrayal of Eddie Brock isn't matching up to what I have always imagined Eddie Brock to be like. The weird part is that I think he fits the looks of Eddie Brock very well. It's just the way he speaks that just seems to bother me, but, again, I'm only limited to what the trailer has shown. Maybe the movie will convince me otherwise. At the very least, Venom sounds great. You can tell a majority of the focus went into perfecting Venom, and they do an excellent job with it from what I can see, and he is definitely the biggest component that I can't wait to see. Hope this one does well!

Venom release everywhere October 5, 2018. It's directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less, Gangster Squad) and stars Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, The Peaky Blinders, Mad Max), Michelle Williams (The Greatest Showman, Blue Valentine, Shutter Island) Woody Harrelson (Natural Born Killers, White Men Can't Jump, True Detective), and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Jason Bourne, The Night Of). Check out the latest trailer here.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
