In August 2019, I went to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida with my family. One ride that we went on was Revenge of the Mummy. My parents wanted to try out the ride. My sisters thought that we should not go on the ride because its speed was forty miles per hour. We believed that my parents could not handle the ride. However, my parents wanted to give it a try.
As we waited in line, my sisters and I could feel our spines tingling in fear. I spotted a sign and it said, "This ride goes 40 miles per hour. This ride goes backward, forward, downward, and sideways." I got shocked that this ride goes backward. That means that the ride will fall backward. I told my mother about it and my mother said not to worry. She believed that the ride will not fall backward. I did not believe her at all!
Then, the time came when it was our turn. We sat down. A woman was there by herself and she sat with my sisters. She told us that the ride is not bad and she understood how we feel. Then, the ride began. I could see and feel the hot flames. Man, those were real fires! Everything was calm at first, but then, the terror began! We were falling fast. We were falling backward and it was just the first drop of the ride. I was right after all! My father hugged me and I screamed on his chest. The rest of my family and the woman were screaming, too. The cycle kept going until the end.
After the ride was over, my sisters and I asked my parents about the ride. My mother said that she does not want to go on the ride again. It was fast-paced and she hit her head when the ride fell backward. My father said, "I got scared." He also did not want to go on this ride again. From that moment forward, Revenge of the Mummy was a ride that we would never forget.
